Registration Open | A Panel Discussion on Migrant Parent Workers in China - Nov.29 | Hong Kong

CCR CSR and Asia Society Hong Kong invite you to a drinks reception and panel discussion on the evening of November 29 about migrant parent workers in China’s factories and the role businesses can play to support them.

247 million migrant workers have left their homes to find work elsewhere in China, many ending up in factories and industrial zones along China’s Eastern and Southern seaboard. Some 61 million children in China are growing up without one or both of their parents as a result and many only see their parents once a year.
Recognising the importance and impact of supporting migrant parent workers, more and more international brands are embracing CSR initiatives that directly improve the wellbeing of parent workers in their supply chains.
What trends and challenges are we seeing  with regards to family arrangements among migrant parent workers in China? What have companies been doing to mitigate the challenges? What other factors need to be considered when addressing challenges related to migrant parent workers?
Moderator: Ines Kaempfer, CCR CSR
