International Save the Children Alliance
Save the Children is the world's largest independent organisation for children, making a difference to children's lives in over 120 countries. It is made up of 29 national organisations with a global staff of more than 14,000 working together.
From emergency relief to long-term development, Save the Children helps children to achieve a happy, healthy and secure childhood. Save the Children listens to children, involves children and ensures their views are taken into account. NGO Group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child
The NGO group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child is a network of 81 international and national non-governmental organisations, which work together to facilitate the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
United Nations Global Compact
The United Nations Global Compact ( UNGC) is a both a policy platform and a practical framework for companies that are committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. As a multi-stakeholder leadership initiative, it seeks to align business operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption and to catalyze actions in support of broader UN goals. With over 7,000 signatories in more than 135 countries, it is the world's largest voluntary corporate responsibility initiative.
The Global Social Compliance Programme
The Global Social Compliance Programme (the GSCP) is a business-driven programme for companies whose vision is to harmonise existing efforts in order to deliver a shared, global and sustainable approach for the continuous improvement of working and environmental conditions across categories and sectors in the global supply chain.
The GSCP offers a global platform to promote knowledge exchange and best practices in order to build comparability and transparency between existing systems. To this effect, the Global Social Compliance Programme is developing a set of reference tools and processes that describe best practices and provide a common interpretation of working and environmental requirements and their implementation.
